Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

The impressive exterior of the Apex Waterloo Place, at the east end of Princes Street in Edinburgh, housed the first purpose-built hotel in Edinburgh, built in 1819.

Today the interior is contemporary, modern and stylish. Bedrooms are generously sized and tastefully styled. City rooms offer 19 square metres of space rising to over 30 square metres of space for Deluxe rooms and Suites. All rooms have 42" flat screen TVs, fridge, safe, iron and ironing board.

Deluxe bathrooms have both large walk-in showers and separate baths, while City and Superior rooms have either a bath or walk-in shower.

The Apex Waterloo Place is ideally situated for a stay in Edinburgh, being a couple of minutes from the start of Edinburgh's main shopping area and city centre, but just a 10 minute stroll from the Royal Mile and the heart of the Old Town.

The hotel also offers a swimming pool, gym, sauna and steamroom.

The location of the Waterloo Place Hotel works well for combining Edinburgh sightseeing and nightlife with excellent links golf on the East Lothian Coast, or parkland city courses. Or extend your golfing trip by adding a couple of nights in the city to enjoy the best of what Edinburgh has to offer.

Golf

Coastal and links courses to consider include Craigielaw, the Glen at North Berwick or Gullane. Closer to the hotel are some excellent and enjoyable inland courses in Edinburgh itself, including Prestonfield Golf Club, which sits underneath Arthur's Seat or Mortonhall or Murrayfield golf clubs, both of which offer views across the city.

The Apex Waterloo Place does not have a car park but there is a multi storey car park at the nearby Omni Centre. The charges are £22.00 for a 24 hour stay.
