Travelling to, and around, Scotland

Scotland is well served by direct connections from around the world, both long and short haul.

Most golfers from outside the UK will arrive by air. Our Getting to Scotland section covers the extensive flight options into our main airports - Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. In addition there are rail links from England and ferry connections from Europe.

Within Scotland most golfers will use the road network to travel from golf course to course, either using self-drive or a driver service. There are however plenty of golf courses that can be accessed by rail with a bit of careful planning. For island golf enjoy a sail on a ferry or take an internal flight on the network of small planes serving the western and northern isles. Find out more in our Getting around Scotland section.
