Kilspindie

Kilspindie Golf Club is considered to be the 35th oldest golf club in the world but the current links were officially opened in 1898. The course was initially designed by Willie Park Jnr and Ben Sayers, both local to the area, and the links retain many of their original features.

Although not a long course, and relatively tight, Kilspindie is a good test of golf and welcoming to all levels of golfer. The short par 3 1st hole is followed by 3 holes which border the shoreline, including the course's only par 5, which can become particularly challenging if the prevailing wind is against you.

Being a flat course so close to the sea there are superb views across the Firth of Forth from all around the links.

The course signature hole is the 8th, a par 3 which from the back tees requires the golfer to carry the ball over a sandy bay to the green. The right club can vary from a long iron to a wedge depending on the weather!
