Sometimes it can be preferable to have your own space on holiday, with a sitting room and perhaps a kitchen to avoid the need for restaurants for every meal. Highland Apartments by Mansley are a very high standard of serviced accommodation that cater to exactly that need, right in the centre of Inverness. The Apartments overlook the River Ness.

As the Highland Apartments website says, "where hotel meet home". The apartments are modern and stylish with high quality fittings. Fully equipped kitchens are included so guests have the option of self-catering while a daily housekeeping service is also available. Despite being in the centre of the city, free parking is available in a private underground car park*.

There are 15 luxury apartments with a choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms. Many have balconies overlooking the river. There are twin bedrooms, king-size and superking. All apartments have an open-plan living and dining area.

Golf:

Inverness has its own inland golf courses, and is less than half an hour to the links of Nairn or the championship golf course at Castle Stuart. The charming Fortrose & Rosemarkie course is around 30 minutes' drive, while Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a 60 minute drive, a little bit farther than Tain golf course. There's a choice of scenic inland golf to the south including Boat of Garten and Spey Valley.
