Gleneagles PGA Centenary

The third, and most recent, championship course at the Gleneagles resort, the PGA Centenary was designed by Jack Nicklaus. It differs from the King's and Queen's courses in being quite distinctly more American in its design. There are particularly large greens and several risk and reward holes.

Nicklaus's famous quote is that the terrain for the PGA golf course was "the finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with". The surrounding views of the Ochil Hills are quite spectacular and typically Scottish – the Grampian hills are at times in view as are the Trossachs and Ben Vorlich to the west.

Venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup, the PGA Centenary course is the longest inland golf course in Scotland, measuring just under 7,300 yards from the Championship tees. There are however five options at each hole, down to 5,322 yards from the red tees, to make the course accessible to a wide range of golf abilities.

Gleneagles green fees change from month to month across the year, both for hotel residents and non-residents, and are best checked on the Gleneagles Hotel website for the dates you wish to play. We have provided high season visitor fees below for August to end September. Green fees will be higher in July 2022.
