Dumbarnie Links

A truly impressive addition to Scotland's golf courses, Dumbarnie Links is set on a huge 345 acre site 10 miles south of St Andrews, between the links of Lundin and Elie.

Making the most of its coastal location Dumbarnie has many tees and greens close to the water, with 14 holes offering views over the Bay and the Firth of Forth. Elevated tees on a number of holes offer spectacular panoramic views.

Opened in 2020, the course was intended from the outset to be enjoyable and approachable for all levels of golfer. Fairways are generous and the rough is wispy rather than penal. However, this does not make the course an easy option. There are still plenty of risk and reward decisions to be made with split fairways and a daunting 600 plus bunkers across the links. The dogleg 17th features an ancient stone wall across the hole protecting the approach to a tiered green.

An out and back layout, the total yardage of the course varies from 5,300 to 6,900 yards, plus professional tees positions for a significantly longer course. Less than a year after opening Dumbarnie Links was announced as the venue for 2021 Women's Scottish Open.
