Malmaison Edinburgh

One of the first two Malmaison Hotels, the Malmaison Edinburgh set the styling and standards for this boutique chain. Like many of the Malmaison properties it is in a restored and refurbished traditional building - in this case a Seaman's Mission, built in 1883. Bedrooms have been remodelled with soothing, comfy tones and materials.

The Malmaison Edinburgh is a 4* boutique hotel by the Leith Waterfront. Leith is a lively area about 15 minutes from Edinburgh's Princes Street, with many top class restaurants, including 2 with Michelin stars, and trendy bars.

For those looking to enjoy golf on the East Lothian links, the Malmaison Edinburgh is on a direct route to the coast, half an hour from Longniddry Golf Club, and within 45 minutes' drive of both Gullane and North Berwick Golf Clubs.

Bedrooms range from Standard doubles and twins to Club, Club Deluxe rooms and Suites. All offer comfortable beds with up to date refurbished plush furnishings in gentle tones and power showers. Club Deluxe rooms and Suites also offer baths. Club Deluxe Double Doubles have two Queen sized beds.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Chez Mal Brasserie restaurant.

The Mal Bar is open every evening and from mid afternoon Sunday to Thursday.

Golf:

There are a number of challenging parkland courses in Edinburgh itself that are well worth a visit, such as Mortonhall, Murrayfield and Bruntsfield Links.

Many golfers, however, will choose Edinburgh as a base for visiting the renowned links of East Lothian. Longniddry, Luffness, Gullane, Muirfield and North Berwick West Links are all within 45 minutes drive of the Malmaison Edinburgh.

All bedrooms at the Malmaison Edinburgh have power showers but only some Club rooms, Club Deluxe rooms and Suites have baths. Club Deluxe Double Double rooms have two Queen sized beds. Not all rooms have waterfront or dock side views.

The Brasserie restaurant is a relaxed venue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Private dining is also available. There is a separate Mal Bar which also serves lunch and afternoon tea.
