The Malmaison Dundee opened in 2014 in a carefully restored former hotel just a short walk from the Dundee waterfront.

Public areas have kept a number of the original features of the building, combining them with trendy, moody design while bedrooms are entirely modern and contemporary, in keeping with the Malmaison style. Rooms contain a quirky nod to Dundee's past with pictures of Dennis the Menace (the Beano comic, where Dennis has been a feature since 1951, is published in Dundee).

Central Dundee is a great base for golfers, with 6 courses in Dundee itself and both Carnoustie and St Andrews being within a 30 minute drive.

The hotel is a couple minutes from Dundee's rail station and in an ideal location for the regenerated Waterfront, which is home to the City Quay and to the V&A Museum of Design Dundee due to open in 2018. Discovery Point and Captain Scott's RRS Discovery are 5 minutes walk away.

Bedrooms range from inner facing double Cosy rooms to Club rooms and river view Suites with king size beds, roll top baths and double monsoon walk in showers.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Chez Mal Brasserie restaurant.

Golf:

Within Dundee itself are 6 inland golf courses including the excellent Downfield. A little farther afield the links choice extends to the nearby Monifieth courses, the renowned Panmure links and the Open championship venues of Carnoustie and St Andrews are both within a 30 minute drive. There are 2 dozen golf courses within 30 minutes of the Malmaison Dundee hotel.

Not all bedrooms at the Malmaison Dundee have river views so if views are important please specify when booking. Only Suites have baths and a separate shower, all other room categories have either a shower only or a bath with shower over. If you have a preference please specify this and check availibility when booking.

Dining:

The Chez Mal Brasserie restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and private dining is also available. The Brasserie features a central fireplace and an open kitchen.

Parking:

There is no parking on site. There is a multi-storey car park 5 minutes from the Hotel for which current charges are £10.20 a day from 08:00 to 20:00.
