The Gleneagles Hotel

Number of rooms: 232

Gleneagles is a world famous luxury 5 star hotel and golfing resort. Set in the scenic rolling hills of central Scotland, Gleneagles offers three championship golf courses, 232 bedrooms, including 26 luxury suites, four restaurants, and a wide range of outdoor activities, from horse riding to falconry, across its 850 acres.

Guests can choose from Classic, traditionally styled rooms to contemporary, spacious Estate rooms with balconies or stunning Suites.

Explore the surrounding Perthshire countryside, indulge in the Spa or Michelin starred restaurant, or choose between one of the two James Braid designed championship golf courses, the King's or Queen's courses, or the Jack Nicklaus designed 2014 Ryder Cup host venue, the PGA Centenary course.

The hotel was opened in 1924 and retains impressive traditional styling blended with modern luxury and convenience, along with the high standards of service you would expect at a leading five red star resort. For quality and challenging golf in a beautiful setting, or for rest, relaxation and pampering, Gleneagles is a perfect venue.

Golf:

The resort has three championship standard golf courses, the King's, the Queen's and the PGA Centenary course, as well as a 9 hole course and a full Golf Academy. The PGA course hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup, while the King's course hosted the forerunner to the Ryder Cup in 1921.

Please note:

There are lifts to all floors at the Gleneagles Hotel but access to some rooms may involve a few stairs. This is a large hotel and there can be a walk from the lift to the room. Assistance with luggage to and from your room is available.

As this is an older hotel, with varying sizes of rooms, bathroom facilities vary so if you have specific requirements – for example a bath with separate walk in shower – please discuss this with the hotel at the time of booking.

Dining:

In addition to the impressive grand dining room, the Strathearn, Gleneagles is home to Scotland’s only two Michelin starred restaurant, Andrew Fairlie. Less formal dining is available at Deseo or at the Dormy clubhouse.

Leisure:

The welcoming and relaxing Spa offers a wide range of treatments, as well as steam rooms, a sauna, a vitality pool and relaxation rooms.
