There are four Apex Hotels in Edinburgh, all providing contemporary styled accommodation close to the city centre. The Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel is one of two Apex hotels located in the Grassmarket, which is part of the Edinburgh Old Town and directly below the Castle.

The Grassmarket is a lively part of the Old Town, with the Royal Mile a short, uphill walk from the Hotel.

The hotel offers generously sized, stylish modern rooms. All rooms have 42" flat screen TVs, fridge, safe, iron and ironing board.

City, City Plus and Family Rooms have either a bath or walk-in shower. Many rooms also have views of Edinburgh Castle.

Guests are able to enjoy the pool and gym facilities of the neighbouring Apex Grassmarket Hotel.

A stay in Edinburgh is a great way to finish a golf trip with some city sightseeing and nightlife, or mix a city stay with golf. Edinburgh offers many fine parkland courses but is also ideally located for the quality links layouts of the East Lothian Coast.

Golf

Coastal and links courses to consider include North Berwick West Links, Longniddry and Dunbar. To the south of the Hotel, but still within Edinburgh is the lovely Mortonhall course, or head west to Murrayfield or Bruntsfield Links. There are over 20 golf courses in and around Edinburgh within 30 minutes' drive of the Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel.

As bathroom facilities can vary and not all rooms will have both a separate shower and bath, if you have a preference please mention this to the hotel when requesting your booking.

The Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel has a small car park which has spaces available on a first come, first served basis for £12 per night. Spaces can only be reserved for blue badge holders. On street parking is available on the Grassmarket but is chargeable Monday to Saturday and is expensive. The NCP Castle Terrace multi-storey car park is 10 minutes walk away on King Stables Road where 24 hour parking is £32 but the hotel can provide a voucher for a reduced rate of £15.

Please also note that vehicle access to the Grassmarket can be restricted by festivals or major events in central Edinburgh, so it worth checking with the Hotel if planning to have your own vehicle or require vehicle assistance to access the Hotel.

Dining:

The hotel offers all day dining in the Agua Restaurant and Bar every day, including fixed priced 2 and 3 course menus.

Leisure:

Guests at the Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel may use the leisure facilities at the neighbouring Apex Grassmarket Hotel which has a swimming pool, sauna and gym.
